WeldHost
WeldHost
WeldHost is where you register or connect domains, manage DNS records, and prepare your web address for the rest of WeldSuite.
What WeldHost does
With WeldHost you can:
- Register a new domain or connect one you already own
- Manage DNS for that domain from inside WeldSuite
- Keep SSL and related settings with the domain
- Point other WeldSuite apps (WeldMail, Help Center, commerce sites) at a WeldHost domain
Once your domain is connected and its nameservers point at WeldHost, you manage records here instead of at your old DNS provider.
Before you manage DNS
The Add DNS records guide assumes your domain is already connected and ready for DNS changes. If the DNS tab is empty or says the zone is not ready yet, finish connecting the domain first — including any ownership verification and nameserver update at your registrar.
Connecting an external domain is covered in Connect external domain.
Not sure if you're ready?
Open your domain in WeldHost and check the DNS tab. If you see a list of records (or an empty list you can add to), you're ready to follow the DNS guide.
Next steps
- Register a domain — buy a new name through WeldHost
- Connect external domain — use a domain you already own
- Add DNS records — when your domain is connected and you need to point a website, email, or verification record
